The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently checking out the Fernie two Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render services towards the community.

SASSA will be rendering expert services for example new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, plus the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency explained it truly is alarmed in regards to the high number of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The goal on the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to some superior amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“That is a result of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no totally functional office committed to service the area regularly. The assistance issue created for intervention experiences a superior inflow of prospective beneficiaries, which makes it difficult with the office to attend to all people who go to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise much more resources to enable the servicing of all customers and maximize here use of Social Assistance companies,” the agency said.
